In 2015, new updates to the ACLS manual and guidelines will be good through 2020 for your certification. While there were no major changes to the guidelines, some of the notable updates were:

• Ultrasound for ETT Confirmation
• ECMO as a possible alternative to CPR in certain patients

Once registered and confirmed for your course, you can log into your account and begin reviewing your study guides materials such as the ACLS pretest questions and answers. Access to your account is available 24-hrs a day from any internet-ready device. Our fast ACLS certification course can generally be completed within 90 minutes depending on the level of experience, some individuals may require more or less time.

The ACLS certification exam is much like the pretest – it can be completed online and is multiple choice. A passing score of 80% is required to earn your certification. Exams are automatically corrected and scored. If you fail to pass the exam on the first try, you will have two more attempts to successfully complete the exam. Please note that incorrect answers will not be revealed until a passing score is earned on the exam. It’s important that if you do not pass the exam, that you take the necessary time to review the study guide materials until you have a complete understanding of the skills required to employ these life-saving techniques.

Upon successful completion of the exam, a digital certification provider card will be emailed to you. This is a temporary card that can be used for proof of certification until your hard copy arrives in the mail. Please allow 3-5 days for your ACLS provider card to arrive. If you need the hard copy sooner, we do offer rush shipping for an additional cost.

ACLS Recertification Online

Online ACLS recertification courses are provided to those who need to renew their certification cards – which is every 2 years. We recommend renewing at least one month prior to your expiration date to avoid being non-compliant with your employer. Our ACLS renewal course follows the same procedure as our regular courses, however, the most recent updates will be highlighted in the study guide materials to make students aware of the changes.

We do not provide recertification or renewal provider cards to students without successful completion of the recertification exam even if they have previously passed the primary certification exam. Replacement cards are only given to providers who have lost their cards and will include the original date of certification.
