What Are the Benefits of Automated External Defibrillator & AED Certification

Getting certified in CPR and AED is very crucial. Part of the training is learning how to use the AED machine in case your patient’s heart is not pumping. You will have to initiate a shock to try to restart the heart. It would be nice if all high school seniors were required to be CPR/AED trained to graduate; however that is not the case. There are many beneficial factors that comes with getting your CPR and AED certifications. There are statistics that show that for persons who go into cardiac arrest outside a hospital, only 8% survive.

There are many benefits that comes from getting your Automated External Defibrillator Certification. You will have the knowledge and the skills to maintain and operate the Automatic External Defibrillator, in case CPR does not work, and there is no immediate help that is readily available. It is beneficial to get you AED Certification because you are not only benefiting yourself, but benefiting those around you – everyday. You never know when someone may need your help, so having this vital knowledge is crucial.
