We realize that life is busy, and it can be almost impossible to schedule an in-person ACLS, PALS and BLS certification training. This is why we have created online courses that you can take at your convenience when it fits into your schedule. You can get your ACLS recertification or your standard BLS recertification. If you find yourself working with children, we also have a PALS certification and training. We offer these courses to medical professionals and individuals who need training and certification in CPR/AED and First Aid. Each of these programs is entirely online, and you will get all of the study materials you need once you sign up for the course and register.

Kentucky Online PALS, BLS & ACLS Certification in Three Simple Steps

The second step is to take the ACLS online Certification or ACLS Recertification Exam. You can do it at your pace, and there is no time limit.

The third and final step of the online certification process is to successfully pass the exam you sign up for and print your digital certification or recertification card. A hard copy will be mailed out within 3-5 business days.

Kentucky Health Analysis and State Information

In 1774, the first permanent settlement established in Kentucky, and it has grown ever since. It is home to Fort Knox, and the largest amount of gold found anywhere in the world is stored in vaults underneath it. Both President of the Union, Abraham Lincoln, and President of the Confederacy, Jefferson Davis, were born here less than 100 miles apart.

Kentucky has the 8th highest rate of childhood obesity in the nation for children between the ages of 14 and 18. It currently is ranked as the fifth obese state in the nation. On top of this obesity rate; you will also find problems like hypertension. The risk for cardiac problems also goes up the more obese a person is.

Louisville

The largest city in the state of Kentucky is Louisville with over 600,000 people. Originally named after King Louise XVI of France, it has been around since 1778. This city is well known for being home to the University of Kentucky along with Churchill Downs. Each year, over 150,000 people come to this city to watch the Kentucky Derby. This horse race is one of the most watched sports in the United States.

Louisville is right in a valley, and it has a lot of inhabitants, so this makes for poor air quality. While it has been slowly improving, it still may affect anyone who is sensitive, and it is within the top ten cities in the United States for poor quality. People with conditions like Asthma, COPD, and respiratory conditions could experience increased symptoms. If you have attended our ACLS or BLS certification, or if you had ACLS, PALS, and BLS certification classes, you could be able to spot someone who is having difficulty breathing and get them help.

Lexington

Lexington is the second largest city in Kentucky with over 328,000 people. This city has been around since 1775, and it is 285 miles wide. This city is known for its basketball team and the University of Kentucky. It also has the title of some of the worst traffic congestion in all of Kentucky due to the lack of freeways. The population of this city is projected to continue growing at a very quick pace.

In 2017, a poll was taken asking the residents of Lexington what the greatest health concerns were. The answers split between the cancer rate and obesity. One in every four Lexington residents stated that obesity was their top concern. Obesity can increase the chances for certain cancers and heart conditions, and this is why it is so important to have at least our CPR/AED class or our BLS certification class.

Bowling Green

Kentucky’s third largest city is Bowling Green with over 64,000 people. Since 1981, Bowling Green is the only place on the planet that manufactures Chevrolet Corvettes. It is home to the world famous Corvette Museum, and this museum drew over 228,000 visitors in 2016 alone. This city has consistently ranked in the top for best industry and best career opportunities by Forbes.

Bowling Green has a lot of problems with colorectal and lung cancer, along with hypertension and stroke. If someone has lung cancer, they might have periods of difficulty breathing, and if you’re their caretaker, it will make sense to have our online BLS or CPR certification class under your belt for emergency situations. The hypertension rate is also quite high here, with 17% of adults stating they have had this diagnosis.

Owensboro

The fourth city on our list of largest cities in Kentucky is Owensboro with just over 57,000 residents. This city has over 170 churches, and it hosts over 25 large festivals each year. It was home to the Owensboro Wagon Company, and this company was one of the largest in the nation. The Owensboro Medical Health System Hospital is the largest employer in this city, with roughly 4,000 employees.

Again, we see cancer and respiratory conditions as two of the biggest health concerns for this city, closely followed by hypertension and stroke. Stroke symptoms may be rapid onset, and having an ACLS certification class could save someone’s life. As it stands, only 10% of everyone who has a cardiac event outside of a hospital survives it. In a city where this is a large health concern, certifications are critical.

Covington

The final city on our list is Covington with almost 41,000people. This city is home to many parks, and it is just minutes away from Cincinnati, Ohio. It has been around since 1815, and it is continuing to grow at a moderate pace. There are many attractions like the Crawford Museum, Railway Exposition Museum, MainStrasse Old World Village, and Fort Ancient. You can also travel minutes to visit the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden.

The air quality in Covington ranks at a 44 out of 100, and the higher it is the better quality. The water quality ranks at a 47 out of 100, and it has been slowly improving. The air quality can have a negative effect on anyone with respiratory issues, and this can lead to them staying indoors. If they stay indoors, they are less likely to exercise, and this can contribute to the obesity ranking of Kentucky as a whole. Having a CPR or BLS certification class would help these health conditions because all of these health conditions make it harder for people to function on a daily basis. The chances of a medical emergency happening are increased.

CPR News: A 12-year-old girl gave CPR to two men who overdosed on heroin in Lexington in 2016. Both of the men were taken to the hospital, treated, released, and both made a full recovery.

During the 2016-2017 school year, Kentucky has become the 29th state to require students to get CPR/AED certification training. This will make just under 40,000 students annually who get CPR certified in Kentucky while they are in school.
