Online Training and Certification in Nevada

Doctors followed the American Heart Association’s guidelines to make our course materials, so you know they’re up to date. As soon as you pass the exam, you’ll get the option to print out a copy of your completed certification, and we will mail a hard copy to you within five business days.

PALS, ACLS, BLS and CPR AED Certification Online Training

If you’re currently in college for a public servant job like a social worker, teacher, or if you work as a junior sports team coach, you’re around all types of people on a daily basis. This also means that you don’t have time to attend traditional classes, and this is where we can help. Our online BLS certification is the next step up from CPR, and the more prepared you are during an emergency, the more you’ll be able to help. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is more for medical professionals, but you have to renew this every two years. The same goes for PALS training, and you’ll need this certification if you work around kids. You don’t have the time to do this in-person, and our online services make this an easy process.

Each of our BLS, ACLS, and PALS online certification is taken from the American Heart Association guidelines, and you can choose which certifications you wish to take. You can take one at a time, or you can take all three. We also have package deals for groups who have to have these certifications, and who need to take more than one certification course.

CPR AED Certification and First Aid Online Training

Today, it is a requirement for many company employees to have CPR and AED certifications. Since you’re busy working during normal business hours, we’ve made it easy to get these certifications or re-certifications online. You can complete these courses at any time in the comfort of your home, or anywhere you can access the internet.

Once you’ve decided on the course or courses you wish to take, you enroll in our online classes. You’ll instantly get access to all of the materials you’ll need to complete this online course successfully. You can take your time on the multiple choice exam. However, you should know that you won’t have access to any of the study materials during this time. Upon successful completion of the online course, you’ll get a digital copy of your certification that you can print out. Your hard copy will be mailed out to you within five business days.

Nevada State Information

Nevada is the 36th state that gained statehood on October 31st, 1864. It is home to the most mountain ranges in the United States, and it is the fourth biggest gold producing state in the United States. Currently, the federal government owns around 85% of the state, and it is the seventh largest state.

Heart disease is one of the biggest health concerns in Nevada, along with problems like high blood pressure, diabetes, and stroke. In addition, smoking and obesity contribute to these health concerns. As this state has elevated heart-related issues, it would be a good idea to have certifications in CPR or at least BLS.

Las Vegas

Las Vegas is the biggest city in Nevada and the 28 most populous state in the United States with over 693,000 people. Las Vegas claims the title of the Entertainment Capital of the World, and it is home to mega-casinos. This city is one of the top three business convention destinations on the planet, and it is considered a global leader in the hospitality industry. Between the years of 1990 and 2000, the population skyrocketed over 80%, and it is still growing.

Heart problems are prevalent in Las Vegas, and for roughly every 100,000 people, around 280 will die from heart-related complications. This is 30.17% higher than the national average. This is part of the reason that more employers are making it mandatory that their employees get BLS certification for these types of emergencies and possibly CPR/AED certified training as well. Local EMS responders should review and update their ACLS certification every two years to stay current.

Henderson

This city is the second largest city in Nevada with just over 290,000 people. Las Vegas has been around since 1941, and it has been growing ever since.  This city is passionate about the arts, and it has several festivals throughout the year. All of these people around increase your chances of needed to know at least CPR or BLS in case something happens. You can also visit the variety of shopping malls, movie theaters, and it has one of the largest outdoor amphitheaters in Nevada.

Obesity is a common problem in Henderson, and childhood obesity is on the rise with over 35% of the children considered obese. A factor that contributes to this is the largely nontraditional schedules with the parents working in the evenings and not regulating meal times. These obese children can turn into obese adults, and this can lead to other health complications.

Reno

The third biggest city in Nevada is Reno with just over 245,000 residents. This city got its namesake from Jesse Reno in 1868. Reno started as a small mining community and grew from there. There are dozens of recreational activities to do, and the weather is gorgeous 90% of the year. Reno is home to the largest concentration of skiing facilities within a 50-mile radius.

Reno is one of the ten cities in the United States for the worst air pollution, with the rank of the 11th most polluted city in the nation. Ozone and particle matter are the two factors that make this city’s air quality so poor. If you have COPD or asthma, your symptoms could easily flare, and the need for someone to be close who knows CPR, First Aid, or more advanced procedures is critical. They’ll be able to help you until you can get to a hospital.

Sparks

The fourth largest city in Nevada is Sparks with almost 100,000 people. You’ll find Sparks just east of Reno. One of the largest employers in this city is the Washoe School District, and this serves over 63,000 students. Each of the staff members is required to have CPR and AED training . The school nurses are usually required to have training and certification in PALS or BLS. The schools can recommend that they also have ACLS certification and training, but it isn’t mandatory.

Chronic conditions like obesity and high blood pressure are found all over Sparks, in all age groups. You can also find lower respiratory problems here, and the air quality can play a role in these as well.  Years of studies have proven that if you are obese, your chances of suffering from other health problems goes up.

Carson City

Carson City is the fifth largest in Nevada, and it is the official capital of Nevada as well. Originally named after the explorer Kit Carson, it has a population of just over 55,000 people. It is home to several museums, entertainment venues, historical attractions, and challenging golf courses. This city is just minutes away from Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada mountain range.

Carson City’s main health concerns are mental health issues, and the trouble people have getting treatment, and chronic conditions being made worse by smoking and unhealthy lifestyles.Smoking can increase the risk of developing cancers and make conditions like COPD and asthma worse. If someone smokes and has an asthma attack, they may need help immediately, and if you have been through CPR certification training, you’ll be better prepared to assist them.

Nevada CPR News: As of 2017, there is a push to make CPR a mandatory course for all school-aged children across Nevada. The training would start with children in middle school and high school. This CPR training would be hands-on, and the kids would receive their certification by the end of the classes.
